COVID-19 Notice - 11/01/21

COVID-19 Garden Centre Web notice 11.01.21

MONDAY to SUNDAY 10.00am to 4.00pm

MONDAY to SUNDAY 10.00am to 4.00pm

We have reduced our opening hours for the time being in order to protect our colleagues from unnecessary exposure and risks associated with this virus.

Our opening hours will be under constant review, as the days lengthen, and temperatures rise.

As it is our wish to protect both our employees and customers from close contact as much as possible, we are taking every effort to achieve this.

We welcome customers and are privileged to be open.

Gardening can produce real benefits as an outdoor pursuit, be it at home or an allotment, in assisting those of us wrestling with the many difficult aspects and impact of this pandemic on our lives.

An association with plants has many proven mental and physical health advantages, be it indoors or out.

Our focus is to provide for every aspect of plant cultivation and appreciation. From seeds and plants, growing and propagation to all the tools and kit to prepare your private space to relax and enjoy.

We are all encouraged to stay at home currently. Gardening is an activity that can be performed at home, provide some exercise and can be a tonic or release from anxiety, frustration and stress.

In store, it is our wish to provide as safe a shopping environment as possible.

Face coverings are mandatory.

We have made alterations to the layout inside and out, in an effort to provide a safe, distanced method of shopping with us.

Changes you may expect for the protection of us all:

At Feltham, wider car parking spaces, so a restricted number of vehicles on site.

The entrance point from the car park has been altered, as well as other previous thoroughfares.

All trolleys and baskets are sanitised between use.

Hand sanitiser stations are available on entry, exit and within the store.

Disposal bin for single use protective items.

2 metre distancing measures throughout the store, inside and out.

Pay points screen protected.

A one-way flow system in covered areas. Please respect this.

Entry limited by number, one out, one in.

Maximum party/group size, 2

Distanced queuing for entry, when required.

Growing composts to be collected from outside, following payment in store. We will load directly into your vehicle, to avoid excess handling.

Our normal delivery service continues, but we will not enter your premises.

Contactless or card payment only please.

There are no toilet facilities available for customer use.

The Café @ Adrian Hall will remain closed for the immediate foreseeable future.

The Landscape and Materials yard at Feltham is open Monday to Friday only for bulk items and loose materials. It is closed Saturday and Sundays other than for smaller bagged items and sundry fencing products etc.

This is an ever changing and challenging situation and we will adapt our operation accordingly.

There are currently still supply issues with some items, due to production shutdowns as a result of staff shortages, reduced capacity as a result distanced working and a shortage of certain raw materials both here and abroad.

Please be patient and understanding. Any abusive behaviour directed at our colleagues will not be tolerated. Please respect our distancing measures.

We welcome both returning and new customers safely in store and thank the thousands who we were able to serve directly and safely to their homes during the first period of lockdown.

We wish all our customers and colleagues remain safe and well.
